Robert Covolo is a cultural theologian hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area and residing in Los Angeles. He holds a PhD in theology and culture from Fuller Theological Seminary and from VU Amsterdam. Robert has served as a college pastor for over 10 years at Grace Long Beach, as a scholar at the Visual Faith Institute of Art and Architecture in Pasadena, on faculty as a humanities professor at the Torrey Honors Institute, Biola University, and is currently the pastor of theological formation at Christ Church Sierra Madre, where he directs the Center for Pastoral Residents.
Robert’s has a passion for retrieving historic Christian sources for engaging the logics and practices of contemporary life. This is demonstrated in his new book Fashion Theology (Baylor University Press, 2020): which pioneers the relationship between Christian theology and fashion studies.
I might add that he is also an avid cyclist, hiker, and surfer.
